Swimming in the glacier... not really

Day 3:  We flew into Izmir and immediately headed out for Pamukkale.  It was a rough start but we made it.  From the pictures Madison was convinced we were going to be swimming in a glacier even though we kept assuring her it was not and the white was calcium.

On the way there we loved the scenery.  There were orange trees, palm trees, evergreen trees, mango trees, fig trees, pomegranate trees, and trucks full of strawberries delivering to the fruit stand that were all along the highway.

It was a really fun hike, beautiful scenery and we all had a great time swimming in the hot springs.

A super long tunnel.  MJ held her breath the longest but she didn't even make it halfway.

I liked the flag hanging in the middle of the street, national pride.

One of the many fruit stands.  The strawberries were so big and juicy.  We bought a box of them and had a great time making a mess in the car.  We were really shocked that oranges and strawberries were in season seeing as it was so cold.

The kids love the strawberries.

Enjoying the warm water.  There were a ton of tourists there who were not prepared to swim but got in the water anyway.

Madison wanted her picture taken everywhere, she loved this site.

Ha-Na was so relaxed and comfortable in the water, especially since it was cold outside.

I was amazed at the beauty of the area.  This is what surrounded us.

We bundled up once again after swimming as the wind was blowing and it was chilly.

There was a storm coming in so we were trying to get down before it hit.
I think lil Carl looks photo shopped in all of his pictures.  I really loved this one.

The girls have to put their feet in every pool on the way down.  There were a ton of them.

Another pool to warm up their feet in.

I think Lissy was longing to get back into the water.

I have so much fun with the kids, they are a hoot.

Lissy had her picture taken all day by Asian tourists.  I did get annoyed when they started taking her out of the water to take pictures with her, she got so cold.  She is happy to be warm and secured to her dad.

My love and I warming our feet in one of the pools.

I love the sky background in this picture.  It looked this way in one side but if you turned around it was totally blue skies and white clouds.

Here it shows both skies in one picture.

MJ trying to convince us to swim in one last pool before we reach the exit,

We really loved having this unique experience.  Lying in the pool at the top with the beautiful view in such a awesome place was amazing.

In the morning we were off to Aphrodesia and Ephesus.  The kids love ruins so it should be a day of exploring and running through broken down cities that were once grand.
