A little rain never hurt anyone...

We woke this morning....really early this morning (Lissy woke up at 5) and saw that it was raining and windy.
We geared up and headed out to see the Hagia Sophia.  We got there before it opened so we did not have to wait too long in line.  We then went to see the Blue Mosque but forgot it was closed due to prayers.  Since everyone were cold and wet and Lissy had taken to hitting Carl's head in protest to being in the carrier we decided it was time to take the kids back to the room to warm up, dry off and get Lissy a nap.

Once we headed back out, rested, fed and warm we were ready to see lots of stuff.  We went to the mosque as it was open later in the day.  It was a long line but it moved fast and we got in.  We then went to the Hippodrome and had fun looking at the Obelisks.  We then went to the Grand Bizarre.  The girls loved looking at jewelry and figurines.  The roads seem to go on and on with never ending shops.

We then went by Roman road.  It was fun to see the sign post and the road.
We had a full and fun day.  Off to Pamukkale tomorrow.

Entering the Hagia Sophia

Lissy has the best mode of transportation.

Carl was having fun making optical illusion.

We thought it was beautiful.  I was thrilled to see the mosaics.  I think we will do a fun summer art project and make mosaics at home.

This stairway scared me, I am glad our stairs don't look like this at home.

The girls are on the Empress Balcony being quite royal.

Back out in the rain.

Grand Bazaar, lets start shopping...

We did not find Turkish Delight delightful.. we found it to be yech!

We found a much better sweet...ice cream.  It was so delicious!

At the roman road sign.  Everyone picked a different direction.

Time for bed.  For everyone.
